Sedgefield is a coveted neighborhood due to its proximity to the center city and upscale neighborhoods Myers Park and Dilworth. The neighborhood crosses both sides of Park Road just north of Park Road Shopping Center and all its convenience stores, including grocery and hardware; post office and restaurants like Fuel Pizza, Subway and Sir Edmund Halley’s. Head east on Princeton Avenue and you run right into Freedom Park, Charlotte’s crown jewel of parks with its fountains, running trails, ball parks and playgrounds. Generally, houses here were built in the 1950s and 60s as Charlotte just started to grow outward from uptown.
